Program Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. Bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Marrakech

Today is for a cultural city tour starting at the Menara Gardens with its huge basin with enormous fish. Next to the Saadian tombs where the founders of the city are buried, the Bahia Palace – residence of the former vizier; the Koutoubia Mosque with its splendid minaret and ending up in the stunning Djemma El- Fna square. During the day it is a fabulous souk and in the evenings a magic show. Bed and breakfast.

Day 3: Marrakech – Tichka – Ouarzazate

Departure to Ouarzazate through the AtlasMountains and high pass of Tichka of 2260 mts with its stunning landscapes. On our way we will stop to see the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, best known for its use as a filming location for blockbuster movies like The Gladiator. Lunch and continuation to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. Arrive in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – The Valley of Roses – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Out on the road of a thousand Kasbahs everything changes, different landscapes and lots to absorb. After several stops, we arrive at one of the great locations of the South; the Todra Gorge. The bed of the River Todra has formed daunting vertical walls and is quite spectacular. It is a unique paradise for climbers. Lunch, and then onwards to the city of Erfoud where we visit the quarries of fossils older than 380 million years and see how they work them into different objects.

We continue south to the Sahara and the dunes of Merzouga where we change the traction of 4×4 to animal traction, camel. We go deep into the desert dunes to contemplate an unforgettable sunset from the camp or from the top of the dune. At end the day we will have another wonderful experience, because we will have dinner in the heat of the fire accompanied by the music of drums. When it´s time to rest, we will retire to a Berber tent under a ceiling of stars, unique and indescribable. Dinner and overnight in a tent.

Day 5: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes

After returning to our hostel by camel, we breakfast and shower and headfor Rissani;first imperial city of Morocco. Here we can admire its unique market, the largest in this region and a place where the nomadic desert tribes come to trade and restock. Very curious to see is the donkey parking place. On the road to Erfoud, we will have a panoramic view of the valley of Ziz with its palm trees and gorges. Once past the Tizi n Talghomt pass we will stop in Midelt for lunch. Then we leave on the road to the great cedar forest where we must stop to see the indigenous Barbary monkeys in the wild. Before arriving in Fez, Morocco’s cultural capital, we pass through Ifrane known as Little Switzerland.Bed and breakfast.

Day 6: Fes Heritage Tour

Full day guided tour of the oldest of the imperial cities. Founded in 808 AD as the first political, religious and cultural capital. The visit begins with the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace. Then we will go up to an observation point to view as if looking from an aircraft.

the impressive walled Medina, inside which later you will walk to discover a thousand sensations and feel its lifeforce. Discover mosques and medrassas, caravanserais and religious sites. Visit the tanneries where you can observe how the hides are dyed for making shoes, bags and other artisan goods.

Free time for lunch, not included, and we continue the visit to neighbourhood artisans, divided by specialties. Exiles from the Spanish inquisition brought their knowledge and have maintained Andalusian art and style to this day, giving Fez the deserved name City of the Artisans. Bed and breakfast.

Day 7: Fes – Meknes – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast we leave the city of Fez and visit Meknes and also Rabat, continue on to Casablanca. Bed and breakfast accommodation

Day 8: End of tour and transfer to the airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for scheduled flights home. End of the trip and our services.
